Living in millennium city

with 2 comments

Living in millennium city must be dream of every other person,  Where skyrocketing building, a world class metro connecting Delhi, 6 lane highway, best shopping malls and restaurants. Yes ,i am talking about Gurgaon.

The description might attract towards it. But when people start living here reality comes forward. There is no basic infrastructure at all . There are proper roads and besides that cops are ready to bust anywhere due to one or another reason. There is a power cut everyday for 7-8 hours, which obviously force people to buy inverters, which in turn damaging environment. Now if we talk about road lights, i have to pick up my own torch to search one. There is no public transport. Safety is a big issue for girls as well as for any body who want to go late night movie show on Friday and come back little late. Dust is one more issue.
In short it’s condition is getting worse day by day. Where is our tax is being used? It is supposed to be spent on the basic infrastructure development.

On one hand world eyes are moving towards it due to rapid development in terms of industry and on other hand Gurgaon has victim of poor basic infrastructure. Labor moving here from nearby states like Rajasthan, UP, MP and Bihar in search of employment so there is no arrangement from them too. Crime rate is too high. Purse and chain snatching is very common, bike/ car robbery is another.

If we (our government) call this is a development then we should re-define and propose a new definition of word “development” to world. This is our free India after 63 years of independence.

  1. Nice post dude.. outrageous I would say..
Here you bring to the attention a very important point that what do we mean by development. The rapid construction of buildings so that they can accomodate more and more offices and houses can not be termed as development. Without proper supporting infrastructure these offcices are nothing but actual sweatshops. And seriously where does tax payer’s money go? Why should not people look for evading tax? Do politicians or officials who get caught in corruption cases get any punishment? What hapened to so many of such cases? I have not heard any politician going to Jail for corruption.. they either get bail or the case gets closed.

    • The question is that why TAX collection is not used in a proper way? We are not concerned that politicians or corrupted bureaucrats are going to jail. We should be concerned about proper usage our money. We know that system can’t be changed overnight. so atleast 50% of tax should be used for development, then also basic infrastructure can be developed.
